Every mother knows that some of the best toys in the world are the simplest. And when there are tons of them and they look practically identical? Heaven for little kids. So the other day at Target I bought all three kids each a bag of those green Army men. I'm telling you, love at first sight! Of course we had to immediately label each and every man with each of the kids' initials (R, E, and M) when we first brought them home. And the labelling has added to the fun of finding them EVERYWHERE in my house! Under the couch, on the book shelves, in the crayon box, the bathtub, about 20 scattered on the floor of the car, three in the refrigerator, a handful in the various house plants. . . . Well, you get the idea.
So you can imagine my delight tonight when I finally climbed into bed, pulled back the covers and found a platoon of perfectly lined up (albeit lying down) army men in the "empty side" of my bed . . . I'm not even going to ask.
